How open to change are you?

Happy summer from me and my favourite road trip buddy!

After the last few months of traveling hither and yon for work, it’s really nice to have some downtime to relax and recharge at the lake. Not that I’m complaining about the travel or the work. I’m so lucky to get to do what I do, and I love visiting new places and meeting new people!

Speaking of which, in June I attended the CGLCC’s 2SLGBTQI+ Global Business Summit in Toronto, and I got to meet and connect with so many inspiring and innovative people. (It was also fun to be at a conference as a regular attendee and not as a speaker for a change!) But the highlight was getting to meet the host of Canada’s Drag Race: the legend, the icon, the Queen of the North Brooke Lynn Hytes!!!

Having a minor fanboy moment with the amazing Brooke Lynn Hytes

You really never know who you’ll get to meet at these conferences!

You also never know what new ideas you’ll learn about and how those ideas could have a positive impact on your work… even if they don’t seem so great at first.

Though we’re all still in summer mode, the back to school/back to work season will be here before we know it. To help you prepare to hit the ground running, check out this short video on how to be open to change and how to take the pressure off when you encounter new ideas.

Thank you for reading! Whether you’ll be traveling the world or staying close to home this summer, I hope you’ll have the chance to take a break and enjoy the sunshine!
